T.C. Maslin was the victim of a violent robbery and attack that changed his life and the life of his family.

The young husband and father was brutally beaten in 2012 as he walked home from a Nationals game. Maslin was hit in the head with a baseball bat and left to die on a stranger's front porch. He suffered severe brain damage. His attacker was convicted a year later.

In the nearly seven years since the attack, T.C., his wife Abby and their son have endured an emotional journey most people could never fathom.

Abby Maslin chronicled that journey in a new book, Love You Hard: A Memoir of Marriage, Brain Injury and Reinventing Love, and she joined FOX 5 to talk about her experience.
