WATCH: Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade

SILVER SPRING, Md. - The Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade features glittering floats, marching bands, twelve-foot inflatable turkeys – and an appearance from the big man himself, Santa Claus. 

The parade takes place in downtown Silver Spring starting at Ellsworth Drive and Fenton Street before traveling along Georgia Avenue to Silver Spring Avenue. 

Previewing the Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade

Montgomery County kicked off the Thanksgiving holiday season on Saturday by hosting a Thanksgiving Parade. FOX 5's Ayesha Khan visited Silver Spring to learn more about what went into preparing the event.
