The Capitals have raised nearly $250,000 for Homeward Trails through sales of the Canine Calendar since 2014.

Homeward Trails is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides pet adoption in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. They work to find fur-ever homes for dogs and cats from high-kill shelters or whose owners can no longer care for them. The organization facilitates adoptions from area shelters and support a large network of foster care providers.

The 2019 Caps Canine Calendars are available for $20 at the team store and at merchandise stands throughout Capital One Arena, at the team store at MedStar Capitals Iceplex and online.
