VIDEO: Suspect wanted for northwest D.C. armed robbery

Police are searching for a suspect who is wanted for an armed robbery at a convenience store in the northwest DC.

The robbery took place on October 25 around 11 a.m. at a store located in the 400 block of Rhode Island Avenue. In the surveillance video released by police, the suspect is seen walking into the store, pretending to buy a drink and then making his way behind the counter-- where he pulled a gun on the store clerk.

While holding the gun to the clerk's back, the suspect took cash from the register and searched through the cabinets before police say he fled the store, heading in the direction of 5th Street NW.

DC police are asking anyone who may have information on this incident to call 202-727-9099. Additionally, information can be submitted to the department's TEXT TIP LINE by texting 50411.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent offense, including an armed robbery, committed in the District of Columbia.
