VIDEO: Police say gunman shot and killed elderly man while he was pumping gas

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. - Police have released video of a person they say shot an elderly man while he was pumping gas and then sped away in his car.

The incident happened in Capitol Heights on July 20 at around 7 a.m. Officers say 68-year-old Alonzo Jackson had just finished pumping gas into his car at a station in the 4900 block of Marlboro Pike when a man approached him and shot him.

The suspect then sped off in Jackson's car - a 2015 black Dodge Charger with DC tags DF0113.

Jackson was taken to a nearby hospital but died several hours later.
