Vehicle recovered along National Mall following reported carjacking; 2 in custody, police say

WASHINGTON - Police say a stolen vehicle was recovered along the National Mall after a carjacking was reported early Thursday morning.

Officials say the incident started at Kenilworth Park where a suspect allegedly fled from police and crashed near Constitution Gardens at Constitution Avenue.

Authorities say two people were taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
