Two men shot, killed near Popeyes restaurant in Suitland
SUITLAND, Md. - Two men have died after being shot Sunday night near a restaurant in Suitland. The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. near a Popeyes restaurant in the 4600 block of Silver Hill Road.
Police say the two men were shot in an alley near the shopping center. One man was pronounced dead on scene. The other man ran to the restaurant for help. He was transported a nearby hospital where he later died.
Police said they don't know if the victims shot each other or if there were additional people involved.
Late Sunday, people gathered at the scene to try to find out who was killed. One man claimed that his son was one of the victims and was angry he couldn't go beyond the crime tape.
