‘The Science Guy’ pops up on DC Metro
WASHINGTON - Popular TV scientist and D.C. native Bill Nye popped on social media this week when he took a ride on his hometown’s Metro system.
Nye said he was on his way to Congress to provide a brief on a NASA project.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority used having the outspoken climate change critic on camera as an opportunity to tout its eco-friendly status.
“As you know, Metro is the easiest most effective choice to reduce your carbon footprint,” the transit service noted in their retweet.
