Suspect arrested for series of bank robberies in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties

Police in Maryland have arrested a person suspected of robbing several banks in Montgomery and Prince George's County.

Three of the robberies took place in Montgomery County within 15 minutes of each other and another took place in New Carrollton in Prince George's County. The locations of the robberies in Montgomery County are:

- 11:20 a.m. - SunTrust Bank at 8510 Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase.

- 11:29 a.m. - Capital One Bank at 10707 Connecticut Avenue in Kensington

- 11:35 a.m. - BB&T Bank at 2909 University Boulevard West in Kensington

Police said nobody was physically injured in the robberies and witnesses did not see the robber display a gun.

Prince George's County police said they arrested the bank robbery suspect two hours after the robberies occurred when an off-duty police sergeant leaving a restaurant in Glenarden spotted a Toyota Corolla matching the lookout vehicle for the suspect.
