Student records racists remarks allegedly made by school's vice principal

FRESNO, Calif. - Caught on camera - comments made by a California middle school vice principal about black students.

The cell phone video, recorded by a student and posted on YouTube, shows the vice principal of Scandinavian Middle School in Fresno saying he quote doesn't like black kids.

Vice Principal Joseph DeFillipo made the comments after being asked by a group of students who he doesn't like at the school.

The video has gone viral as students are downloading it onto their phones and chanting the slur in protest.

Middle school parent Latricia Medley knows DeFillipo and says she's shocked.

"I was like shocked. Why would you want to put something like that on camera in front of a bunch of kids? That's not a joke. That's not a very funny joke," said parent Latricia Medley.

DeFillipo is now on paid administrative leave.

The Fresno Unified School District is suspending him until they conclude their investigation.
