Son accused of stabbing, killing father in Annapolis

An Annapolis man is dead after police say he was stabbed by his son.

Martin Jolalpa-Vazquez, 44, was found inside his home in the 300 block of Atwater Drive just before 3 a.m. suffering from a stab wound. He was bleeding profusely and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

Police quickly located the suspect, Jolalpa-Vazquez's son, Leobardo Jolalpa-Ramirez and charged him in his father's death.

Jolalpa-Ramirez, 22, was charged with first and second-degree murder, manslaughter, first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.

He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
