Some Metro riders in northern Virginia frustrated with start of SafeTrack Surge #4

Surge #4 of Metro's SafeTrack program is underway. But its debut Tuesday left a lot of northern Virginia commuters unhappy.

Crowded buses and extended rush-hours added extra time to hundreds of commutes - especially to for using the Braddock Road Station.

The Wednesday morning commute was smooth with no major disruptions aside from the already scheduled SafeTrack maintenance.

Surge #4 of the transit system's maintenance plan will continue through July 18.
