Some delays continue after person struck, killed by Amtrak train near Bowie State MARC station
BOWIE, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Lingering delays to some MARC commuter rail service Tuesday morning after an Amtrak train hit and killed a person on the tracks near Bowie Monday night.
The incident was reported along the southbound tracks near the Bowie State MARC station around 10:20 p.m. and caused significant delays to Amtrak Acela service as well as to the MARC Penn Line.

At least two MARC Penn Line trains were delayed Tuesday morning due to the incident.
Monday's incident happened in the same place where another pedestrian was hit and killed one month ago.
