Social media campaigns planning school walkouts to protest lack of gun control
OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - Two groups are planning nationwide demonstrations to protest what they say is a lack of action on gun control.
A social media campaign from #enough is planning a national school walkout on March 14.
Organizers say they want teachers and students to walkout of class for 17 minutes at 10 am in honor of the 17 people who died in Florida.
And another group - National School Walkout - is planning a similar protest on April 20th - the anniversary of the columbine mass shooting.
