Snow may be to blame for accident involving 3 tractor trailers
ANNANDALE, Va. - Three tractor trailers were involved in an accident that shut down the beltway Wednesday morning, and snow may be to blame.
The accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on the Outer Loop of Interstate 495 near Braddock Road.
FOX 5's Annie Yu says that the accident happened after one of the trucks struck a snow bank, causing the driver to lose control. That truck struck a second truck and caused a domino effect that resulted in one of the vehicles overturning and another jack-knifing.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
All traffic is being made to exit the beltway at Braddock Road.
