Snow made for rough Thursday morning commute

The snow has come and gone - but not before giving the region's motorists a difficult morning commute.

The snow began around 4 a.m. Thursday and dropped between 1 to 4 inches on the D.C. metro area. If you are in areas to the south and east of the city, you may have received a slightly higher amount.

Many schools were closed or delayed as the storm pushed through.

Expect chilly temperatures throughout the rest of the day as it will remain in the low 30s.
