Snoop Dogg joins Good Day DC to talk about his career, family and new show 'Redemption of a Dogg'

Sporting a Howard University shirt, rapper and true renaissance man Snoop Dogg joined FOX 5 in the loft on Good Day DC.

Since bursting onto the scene in the early 90s, he has enjoyed success as a singer-songwriter, record producer, T.V. personality, entrepreneur and actor.

Snoop recently released a new cook book, "From Crook to Cook" which he says he was encouraged to write by his friend and co-host Martha Stewart on "Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party."

Snoop Dogg is starring in the new stage play "Redemption of a Dogg."

It tells the story of a gangsta rapper who must choose between fame and fortune, or family and faith and it's set to some of Snoop Dogg's biggest hits.

The show and it's star made their theatrical debut last month and will be coming to the stage at D.C.'s Warner Theater this weekend.

Snoop will join co-stars Tamar Braxton, Omar Gooding, Demetria McKinney and Eric Benet.

More information about show times and tickets can be found through the Warner Theater.
