Smoke from Canada wildfires causing hazy, reddish glow across DC region

Smoke from wildfires in western Canada are causing a hazy, reddish glow to appear in the sky across the Washington, D.C. region Wednesday.

Over 100 active fires were reported over the weekend.

Images from NOAA's GOES Geostationary Satellite Server show the smoke over the area.

Officials in Canada urged anyone in the path of the wildfires to evacuate.
