Six injured after wedding day bridge collapse in Frederick County

Six people were hurt after a bridge collapsed over a creek Saturday in Frederick.
JEFFERSON, Md. - A couple's wedding day turned tragic Saturday, when a pedestrian bridge collapsed.
It happened around 3:45 p.m. Saturday on Poffenberer Road in Jefferson.
Six people were injured, some seriously, when the bridge collapsed under them. It was a 10-foot drop to the creek underneath.
Three victims went to the hospital by ambulance. Another was airlifted.
Tears of joy quickly turned into tears of heartbreak at the scene.
