Severe storms bring down trees, cause flooding in DMV

Severe thunderstorms brought down trees and caused flooding throughout the DMV Thursday afternoon.

Several counties, including Frederick, Howard and Anne Arundel, were under tornado warnings, which have since been canceled. The National Weather Service has not confirmed any tornadoes in the area at this time.

In Howard County's Glenelg community, a viewer told FOX 5 shingles were ripped off the roofs of several homes, a BBQ grill was lifted into the air and trees were knocked down.

Meanwhile, in Frederick County's Ijamsville, a building collapse was reported in the 5000 block of Mussetter Road. No injuries were reported.
