Search for suspects after police say they fired from vehicle onto another car in Upper Marlboro

Police say the occupants of a vehicle opened fire onto another vehicle early Thursday morning along a road in Prince George's County.

The incident was reported to police around 12:05 a.m. when they received a call for a shooting near Walker Mill Road and Old Walker Mill Road.

While officers were responding they received a second call to White House Road and Landover Road for a vehicle crash. Once they arrived they found a vehicle with two men inside, both suffering from non-life-threatening injuries due to the crash. The men were hospitalized.

Officers say a second vehicle, believed to have been driven by the suspects, also crashed near the scene. Police say the three suspects inside fled area before officers arrived and are still at large.

It is unclear if any of the shots fired from the suspect vehicle struck the other car.

White House Road was closed at Route 202 in Upper Marlboro for much of the morning while the police investigation was underway.

Originally, police reported to FOX 5 that both vehicles fired shots at each other while driving near the scene of the crash. Police also mistakenly reported that the three suspects had been taken into custody.
