Search conducted after reported pellet gun, St. Mary’s College Public Safety says
ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. - St. Mary’s College Public Safety officers say they conducted a search after a pellet gun was reported by two students on Tuesday morning.
The Sheriff's Office also had a presence on campus during the search.
They say the students reported seeing a silver pellet gun in the pocket of an individual who was near the bell tower.
According to campus public safety, they believed it was a pellet gun based on the description.
The officers searched the area on foot, but could not find anything.
They say officers were still searching when they initially notified the school community.
They are asking anyone who sees anything suspicious to contact them at (240) 895-4911.
Public safety said if there were imminent danger, they would have sent a notification immediately.
