Reward increase to over $9,000 for help solving case of beheaded labs in St. Mary’s County

The reward for helping St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s office investigators find whomever beheaded two black lab dogs in Mechanicsville has increased to $9,450.

The dogs’ bodies were found off of Parlett Morgan Road on July 14.

At the time, investigators said the bodies had been there less than 48 hours.

Anyone with information that could aid detectives in their investigation was urged to call Crime Solvers at (301) 475-3333.

Through the Crime Solvers Program, tipsters are eligible for an award of up to $1,000 for information about a crime in St. Mary's County that leads to an arrest or indictment.
