Prince George's County police investigating deadly crash in Palmer Park

PALMER PARK, Md. - Police in Prince George's County are asking for the public's help as they investigate a deadly crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Palmer Park, Md.

Investigators say 39-year-old Dave Hughes of Benning Road in Southeast Washington was driving west on Matthew Henson Avenue when he tried to cross over to the southbound lanes of Landover Road.

According to police, his vehicle crashed into Nissan heading southbound on Landover Road.

Hughes was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in Hughes' vehicle and the driver in the Nissan suffered serious injuries, but police do not believe their injuries are life threatening.
