Prince George's County girl critically injured after being hit by car in Suitland

SUITLAND, Md. - A female juvenile is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Prince George's County on Tuesday, according to officials.

Prince George's County police said the collision happened on Pennsylvania Avenue at Brooks Drive in Suitland at about 9 a.m.

Authorities said the girl suffered critical injuries.

Eastbound Pennsylvania Avenue was closed between Brooks Drive and Silver Hill Road as detectives investigated the crash scene.

The car that struck the child remained at the scene, according to officials. Detectives said their investigation was ongoing.
