Teen shot on Prince George’s Community College campus; nearby school placed on lockdown: police
Possible shooting investigation prompts lockdown at Prince George’s Comm. College, Largo HS
Prince George’s Community College and Largo High School were placed on lockdown Thursday as police responded to an unfolding situation near the campuses.
LARGO, Md. - A teenager was shot and injured on the Prince George’s Community College campus Thursday, prompting brief lockdowns at PGCC and nearby Largo High School.
Prince George’s County police say the teen boy walked into a nearby medical center around 11:40 a.m. Thursday with a non‑life‑threatening gunshot wound. He was listed in stable condition.
Around noon, officers responded to Prince George’s Community College for a reported shooting and later confirmed the teen had been shot on campus. PGCC was briefly placed on lockdown, which has since been lifted.
Out of an abundance of caution, nearby Largo High School was also placed on lockdown. Police say there is no known threat to the community at this time.
