Precautions after Arlington patient showed symptoms consistent with Ebola

A patient in Virginia who showed symptoms consistent with Ebola has tested negative for the virus.

The patient, who has not been identified, was transported from an apartment building in the 1100 block of North Irving Street in Arlington at around 9:30 a.m.

The patient had a recent travel history consistent with that of Ebola cases and was transported to the Virginia Hospital Center as a precaution. That patient was released Thursday afternoon after tests showed they did not have Ebola.
