Possible old military ordnance found at construction site in Laurel

LAUREL, Md. - Investigators were called to a location in Prince George's County Wednesday after what appeared to be old military ordnance was found.

The discovery was made at a a construction site on Route 198 in Laurel around 10 a.m.

No injuries have been reported. Route 198 was closed between Route 32 and Interstate 295 for several hours during the investigation.

Investigators have yet to determine if the suspected ordnance presented a danger to the public.
