Police working to identify man involved in alleged assault at Germantown grocery store

Montgomery County Police are looking for help in identifying a suspect involved in an assault inside a Shoppers Food & Pharmacy in Germantown. Police believe the assault took place after an altercation in the store's parking lot.

Investigators say a man attacked a 21-year-old man as he left the checkout area inside the Shoppers on Mateny Road.

It was just after 6 p.m. on Monday, March 18 when police say the 21-year-old man got into an altercation in traffic with a female driver of a Lincoln MKZ.

After the altercation, the victim says he went inside the Shoppers to purchase some items and after paying he was approached by a man who mentioned the altercation and assaulted him.

Police say the attack left the victim injured to the point he needed treatment at a hospital.

After attempting to identify the man for eight days, police decided to release photos captured by the store's surveillance cameras to the public.

If you can help identify the man in the above photos, give police a call -- there is a reward of up to $10,000.
