Police warn of stranger approaching children in Arlington area

Police are urging parents to be on guard after several reports have been made of a stranger approaching children in the Arlington area.

Four incidents have been reported since April 7. In all of the incidents, police say male and female children have reported being approached by a man, possible a Hispanic male, who tried to entice them into his vehicle.

The incidents happened at the following locations and times:

- April 7th | 4:40 p.m. | 5200 block of 8th Road S.
- April 19 | 7 p.m. | 5200 block of 30th Street N.
- May 23 | 3:25 p.m. | 200 block of N. Park Drive
- May 25 | 3:30 p.m. | 1300 block of N. Stafford Street

The Arlington County Police Department is conducting extra checks in the area of these incidents and there will be additional police presence during school dismissals.
