Police shoot man after suicide call
FREDERICK COUNTY, Va. - Virginia State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place Sunday morning.
Deputies were responding to a 911 call concerning an armed suspect threatening suicide when the inconsolable suspect fired his weapon.
A deputy returned fire, and the suspect sustained a non-life threatening wound. He was transported to the Winchester Medical Center for treatment.
The scene was secured and an investigation into the circumstances of the shooting is ongoing at this time.
