Police: Sex assault suspect followed woman from Metro station
LANDOVER, Md. - Prince George's County police are searching for a man who followed a woman from a Metro station and sexually assaulted her.
Police believe it all started Thursday morning at the New Carrollton Metro station as the suspect followed the victim to a nearby business along the 4000 block of Garden City Drive in Landover just before 6:45 a.m. Police said the man sexually assaulted the woman inside of the business.
Police have released surveillance video of the suspect. He is described as a black male who is about 20 years old. He is 5'11" tall with a thin build. He was wearing a red jacket with a symbol that appears to look like a plus sign or cross on the back and sleeves.
"He also walks with a very distinct limp and we are asking the community if you have any information on who this person is to please give us a call," said Prince George's County Police Cpl. Harry Bond.
