Police search for suspects in shooting inside McDonald's bathroom near Verizon Center
WASHINGTON - Officials are searching for three men involved in a shooting at a McDonald's restaurant near the Verizon Center in Washington.
Police said a man was shot in the head at the restaurant on F Street in the Chinatown area of D.C. Friday afternoon. The victim of the shooting was conscious and breathing, according to officials, and he was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
"At this time, we have determined that it appears the victim did know at least one of the suspects," said Commander Robert Alder with D.C. Police. "It does not appear to be a random act. We know there was some interaction between them prior to the shooting, so we are in the process of reviewing video and trying to get a description, which we will get out."
A Good Samaritan used his shirt to help the victim stabilize his wound after the shooting.
