Police say father called officers to supervise him as he disciplined daughter

OKEECHOBEE, Fla. - Police say a father called officers and asked them to supervise him while he disciplined his young daughter.

The incident happened in Okeechobee, Florida in December of last year.

WPBF reported that a 12-year-old girl was involved in an argument with her sister. After the argument, the girl's father wanted to discipline her and called police to supervise him to make sure he was within legal bounds and that there was no crime.

Authorities say they supervised approximately 12 spankings.

No crime was committed. Police say they have received similar requests in the past.
