Police: Man arrested at UMD College Park, forced female student to inappropriately touch him

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (FOX 5) - The same day a female University of Maryland student reported an intruder in her dorm room -- UMD police say another man was arrested for forcing a female student walking on campus to touch him inappropriately.

University of Maryland, College Park police say just before 5 p.m. Sunday, a female student reported that she was walking along Fieldhouse Drive near Stamp Student Union when a man she didn't know approached her.

Police say the man then grabbed the woman's hand and placed it on his groin area. The female student removed her hand and ran to a safe location away from the man and contacted police.

UMD police say officers searched the area and found the suspect near the bookstore inside the student union.

They say the man, 26-year-old Patrick Craig Locke from DC was arrested and was charged with 4th degree sex offense (unlawful touching), 2nd degree assault and school trespassing/refusing to leave building. They said Locke is not affiliated with the university.

Earlier Sunday, in a separate incident, University of Maryland police say a female student was in her room, when an unknown man let himself into her dorm room, got into bed with her and touched her. She yelled at him to leave and he eventually did.

During the exchange, police say the man said "OG Legend" and left the residence hall in an unknown direction.

University of Maryland police say the suspect is described as a white male, medium height, heavy set, round face, brown eyes, short brown straight hair, and wearing only red/blue plaid shorts.
