Police locate missing 9-year-old girl from NW DC

WASHINGTON - UPDATE: D.C. police say Sophia Proctor has been located and is in good health.

D.C. Police are searching for a 9-year-old girl missing from the northwest. Sophia Proctor was last seen on the 1000 block of 14th Street at around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Officers describe Sophia as a black female, medium complexion, 4'8'' tall and weighing between 50 and 60 pounds.

She has black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a white dress, white sweater, white headband, and silver shoes.

Sophia is believed to be with Julia Proctor, described by police as a 27-year-old black female, medium complexion, 5'4'' tall and weighing 100 pounds. Julia has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen driving a 1998 Volvo with D.C. tags EK2268.
