Police identify 16-year-old murder victim whose body was found in Stafford County
LANDOVER HILLS, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Prince George's County Police are assuming a homicide investigation out of Stafford County, Virginia, where a 16-year-old boy's body was found early Saturday.
Police say at around 5 a.m. on March 9, a Stafford County Sheriff's deputy found the remains of Jacson Chicas, of Falls Church, Va., in a remote, grassy area on River Road at Route 3 in South Stafford.
After an investigation, detectives determined Chicas had been killed inside a home located in the 7000 block of Varnum Street in Landover Hills before his body was dumped in Stafford.
On Sunday, investigators released a photo of Chicas' tattoo in an effort to identify him.
PGPD is actively investigating this case. They do not believe this a random crime.
