Overturned tractor trailer blocks lanes on Beltway

An overturned tractor trailer shut down several lanes on the Beltway Wednesday, according to Pete Piringer, Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service.

The accident occurred on the Inner Loop prior to the Connecticut Avenue exit between Rt.355 and Conn Ave.

The overturned truck was carrying a large pipe. Expect significant delays.

Maryland State Police are responding to the scene, no serious injuries have been reported.
