LOS ANGELES, CA (CNS) - A ticket sold in Tennessee matched all six numbers in Saturday night's drawing of the multi-state $420.9 million Powerball lottery. The jackpot was originally announced to top out at $403 million, but it increased prior to the drawing.
No ticket with all five numbers -- but missing the Powerball number -- was sold. Such a ticket would have been worth $422,674.
The numbers drawn were 17, 19, 21, 37, 44 and the Powerball number was 16.
The overall odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338.
The estimated jackpot for the next drawing on Wednesday will be $40 million.
The Powerball game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
