OmniRide buses resume regular service Tuesday

OmniRide buses will resume regular service Tuesday after the union representing the drivers reached a tentative agreement with the company over their new collective bargaining agreement.

WASHINGTON - OmniRide buses will resume regular service Tuesday after the union representing the drivers reached a tentative agreement with the company over their new collective bargaining agreement.

Last week, some drivers took part in a work stoppage amid contract disputes.

The stoppage forced normal bus service to stop and caused a headache for commuters in northern Virginia.

On their website, the company said, "OmniRide buses will resume regular service today, Tuesday, August 6. We thank our riders for their patience, understanding and continued patronage during the bus operator work stoppage."
