BALTIMORE (AP) — Officials say a passenger in the stolen SUV whose driver was fatally shot by National Security Agency officers was also shot.
Fort Meade spokeswoman Mary Doyle said the unidentified passenger was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for treatment.
Police say a 60-year-old man picked up Hall and his passenger in Baltimore early Monday. They say the two stole the man's car minutes before winding up at Fort Meade.
NSA spokesman Jonathan Freed said Hall did not obey a guard's instructions to leave the campus. He said that instead, the SUV sped up and headed toward an NSA police car blocking the road.
