National Night of Laughter: Celebs in DC to support veterans

WASHINGTON - A-list celebs descended on the District Monday night to support military veterans, inner city youth and women who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Stars including Hugh Jackman and Jerry Seinfeld took to the stage, all to raise money for the David Lynch Foundation. Kevin McCarthy reports.

The National Night of Laughter--a night of music and, you guessed it, laughter-- was held at the Kennedy Center in DC. It's a night that centers around transcendental meditation which is used to help veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress, inner-city youth and women who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The money raised at the event will go to help 10,000 people in DC to receive transcendental meditation.

Katie Couric, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness, Jackman's wife, emceed the event which featured musical performances from Ben Folds and Kesha plus stand-up comedy from Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld and Margaret Cho.
