Muhammad Ali remembered at National Portrait Gallery
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The National Portrait Gallery is recognizing Muhammad Ali's life and accomplishments.
The gallery announced in a statement Monday that a 1970 portrait of the man known as The Greatest by photographer Yousuf Karsh is on display in the museum's "In Memoriam" space on the first floor.
Ali died Friday at age 74 in Arizona. World leaders, religious figures and superstars are set to speak at a funeral planned in Louisville, Kentucky, later this week.
The gallery says it has 14 images of the boxer, including a 1981 painting titled "Cat's Cradle" by Henry C. Casselli Jr.
