Motorcycle crashes in Rockville leave woman dead, 2 others injured

Police in Montgomery County are investigating two serious motorcycle crashes in Rockville that happened less than 12 hours apart and that have left one woman dead.

The first crash was reported just before 6:45 p.m. Monday near East Gude Drive and Taft Street. Officers say a motorcyclist was involved in a crash with a vehicle that was attempting to make a u-turn onto eastbound East Gude Drive.

The motorcyclist, identified as 26-year-old Priscilla Anne Alves, was hospitalized and later died from her injuries. Police say the crash remains under investigation at this time.

A second crash involving a motorcycle was reported just before midnight on eastbound Veirs Mill Road near Aspen Hill Road. FOX 5's Anne Cutler says two people who were on the motorcycle have critical injuries. The crash is still being investigated at this time. Veirs Mill Road, from Aspen Hill Road to Robindale Drive is expected to be closed into the morning.

At around 3:30 p.m. on Monday a man was killed and a boy was injured after being involved in a crash on a motorcycle with another vehicle in Prince George's County. The collision happened in the 6500 block of Old Landover Road in Landover.
