More progress needed following latest Metro inspections, says FTA
WASHINGTON - The Federal Transit Administration says Metro is making progress but still has a long way to go to regarding its SafeTrack maintenance plan.
The agency conducted inspections and found several defects still need to be addressed.
Regarding Surge #1, between East Falls Church and Ballston, eight defects out of fifty-four still need to be addressed. Surge #2, between Eastern Market and Benning Road, twenty-six defects out of fifty-five still need to be addressed.
