The inauguration is just over a month away and officials across the region are hard at work preparing the District for the logistical challenges it will face on the day Donald Trump officially becomes President.

The Joint Task Force - National Capital Region and the D.C. National Guard will provide traffic control, crowd management and other support during the 58th Presidential Inauguration.

During a press conference on Wednesday, officials showed off a 60 by 40 foot map used during the planning phase of the operation.

More than 5,000 services members will provide musical elements, color guards, salute batteries and honor cordons for the presidential inauguration.
