Montgomery County tennis instructor arrested, charged with sex abuse of a minor, authorities say

A Montgomery County tennis instructor has been arrested and charged with sex abuse of a minor, authorities say.

According to court documents, 38-year-old Claude Grady began giving tennis lessons to the alleged victim more than a decade ago when she was 15-years-old. The victim told police that after she turned 16-years-old in May 2009, Grady "pinned her against the wall and kissed her on the mouth" during a lesson at The Aspen Hill Club in Silver Spring.

The victim said she engaged in sex with Grady on at least "30 separate occasions" over a two and a half year period, court documents say. The documents also say that the victim advised investigators that the instances were "consensual in nature."

According to documents, the victim told investigators that when she and Grady had sex in his vehicle it would be "before, during or after her tennis lesson with him." She also told investigators that sometimes Grady would drive to an elderly care center where they would have sex in the vehicle. The victim also stated that they had sex approximately three to five times at The Aspen Hill Club.

Grady's next court date is on August 2.
