Montgomery County seeing rise of gang related violence

Montgomery County is seeing what police call an "unprecedented" level of gang related violence over the last eight months, including nine gang related homicides.

Police said one factor in the spike is a recent wave of unaccompanied minors who have relocated to the area, young people vulnerable to gang recruitment and targeted on social media. Police said political factors and a gang crackdown in Central America has led to the migration.

FOX 5's Lindsay Watts reports on measures the county is taking to combat crime.
