Montgomery County police trying to ID person whose remains were found off Shady Grove Road

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Montgomery County police are trying to identify the person whose skeletal remains were found off of Shady Grove Road and Procera Drive in North Potomac on Wednesday.

The remains have been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Officer in Baltimore to try to determine the cause of death.

On Thursday, police released photos of the person's clothing in hopes that someone may recognize them, and help them determine the identity.

The following personal effects were located with the person:

- A blue sweatshirt with the words QUEBECOR PRINTING (USA) CORP. written on the front (see photograph)
- A black or green colored San Antonio Spurs ball cap (see example photograph)
- Blue and white size 11 Asics GEL-Kayano sneakers (see example photograph)
