Missing and endangered teen last seen in Prince William County found safe
WOODBRIDGE, Va. - UPDATE: Ariana Turner-Schaefer has been located safe, Prince William County police say.
Police are searching for a missing and endangered 16-year-old girl last seen in Prince William County.
Ariana Turner-Schaefer was last seen by her family on July 17 at around 4 p.m. after she left a family member's home in the 13900 block of Longwood Manor Court in Woodbridge, police said.
After last being heard from on July 19, the teenager's family reported her missing to police on July 23, according to officials.
Police said detectives have reclassified Turner-Schaefer as endangered after family members received additional information on Wednesday.
"While Ariana is believed to be missing under voluntary circumstances, detectives are concerned for her safety," Prince William County police said in a news release. "There have been no known sightings of Ariana since she left the residence on July 17.
